Based on 'Typing for Individual Achievement' by Jack Heller
Published by Gregg-McGraw-Hill
One of the obstacles for teaching keyboarding to dyslexic students is the over reliance on visual cues. To assist with this, we have instituted the inclusion of real human speech as a component of this interactive program.
This has proven to be an exceptional addition, and has made our Dyslexic Keyboarding program one of the most easy to use and successful programs available today. The combination of audio with visual guidance greatly enhances the dyslexic student’s typing ability, and also will improve the student's reading level.
You are able to automatically time and grade your students using the one, three, and five-minute speed tests included in the program. In addition, you have access to a printed record of all exercises. This provides both you and the parent with an accurate record of the student's progress.
The Teachers' Edition allows you to select the grade level range appropriate for your students. This means that when the Level Button on the Main Menu displays 'Elementary', all twenty-two typing lessons and speed tests will be on grade levels 1-6. If you use the High School level, all the typing lessons and speed tests will automatically be changed to grade levels 10-12.
